Reiki is the Japanese healing technique whose early pioneers developed their styles of Reiki. The version we know in the West came ​from Dr. Mikao Usui, who began his journey with Reiki in March 1922. After the Kanto earthquake and tsunami in Tokyo, the demand for ​healing grew, and he began training other Reiki Masters.

One of those Masters was Dr. Chujiro Hayashi. He brought his expertise as a Navy medical doctor. He created the standard healing ​guide and changed the healing from standing to laying down. One student of Dr. Hayashi’s, Mrs. Takata, from Hawaii, felt that all the ​Japanese techniques would be too hard for Westerners to learn, so she simplified the training. She also innovatively created the Master ​symbol, which she began using in 1975. Without her impact on Reiki, we probably would not have it in the West today.

Today, Catherine Powell has developed her addition to the Reiki attunement process with powerful and effective Quantum energies.

In Reiki 1 & 2 Practitioner Training, you'll immerse yourself in the ​ancient healing art of Reiki.
